So you want a six pack for summer. Well good news you already have one, you may have a few layers of fat hiding it but we all have abs. So you want to see them for summer …
1) Eat 5 small meals over the day. By eating smaller, more frequent meals you will help stimulate your metabolism and increase the supply of nutrients available over the day. This increase in metabolism will help burn more fat calories at rest.
2) Reduce fatty and sugary foods. By removing some of the fatty and sugary foods you eat you will decrease the amount of energy you provide your body forcing it to use stored fats as an energy source.
3) Walk for 30-40 mins every morning before breakfast. I love my walks in the morning they set you up for the day. I always feel that by walking first thing I kick start my metabolism which allows me to eat all my meals, which in turn going back to point #1 helps increase the calories I burn at rest.
4) Use L-Carnitine or Musashi Fat Metaboliser prior to exercise. Using a product like Carnitine can help your body ultilise more fat through the day as a energy source, by helping to transport fatty acids to the mitochondria or muscle sites where they are burnt as energy.
5) Do at least 3 sessions of resistance training per week. One of the most important things to do when trying to get into shape is to maintain or gain lean muscle. Every kg of muscle on your body requires you to burn calories to maintain it. Therefore it makes sense the more muscle you have the more calories you will burn at rest.
6) Drink at least 3 litres of water per day. All chemical reactions in the body require water to help facilitate. If you are dehydrated not only will you find it hard to exercise but your body will find it harder to burn fats.
There are my 6 tips for helping you to see those abs that have been hiding away during the winter time - hope they help
