SLM™ STACK
for healthy weight management

For many people, weight management really means body fat reduction but maintaining a healthy weight involves balancing body fat and muscle. For example, exercise can help reduce body fat, and exercise can also lead muscle development. Muscle weighs more than fat and it is therefore quite possible to achieve a significant drop in body fat levels while maintaining a similar weight. 

The following products are designed to be used as part of a healthy weight maintenance program, in conjunction with a low fat, moderate carbohydrate and higher protein diet. Increased water intake, minimal intake of alcohol and at least 3x40-45 minute exercise sessions per week is also recommended. Please note: Before embarking on any health regimen it is recommended that you consult your health professional.

SLM™ Fat Metabolising Formula
MUSASHI SLM Fat Metabolising Formula has been formulated to help you maintain a healthy weight. It contains L-Carnitine along with liptropic
slm_fatmetabolisingformula_200x150s Choline and L-Methionine which assists with the mobilisation of fat stores, allowing them to be used as a source of energy. Low level addition of carbohydrates in this formula help provide energy while also assisting the absorption and uptake of fat metabolising nutrients.

SLM Fat Metabolising Formula mixes easily with water or skim milk to make a satisfying meal replacement drink. To boost the nutritional values in your diet you could blend in a banana or some fresh blueberries.

Mega Fat Metaboliser capsules
MUSASHI Mega Fat Metaboliser capsules contain a blend of ingredients which may assist with the absorption and metabolism of dietary fats. 

It is only through the breakdown of fat stores that fatty acids which can be utilised as a source of energy. Lipotropic ingredients Choline, Inositol and Methionine assist this process through the mobilisation and metabolism of fat stores.

Carnitine capsules
In any exercise, after an initial carbohydrate fuel burn, the body will start to use fat as a viable energy source. To do so, we break down stored fat into fatty acids that then circulate into the blood stream. This is where Carnitine can assist in helping transport these fatty acids into muscle cells where they are ‘burnt’ for energy.

Carnitine plays an important role in the metabolism of fat in the muscle through the transportation of long chain fatty acids enabling them to be converted to energy.  Carnitine may help increase aerobic performance, anaerobic capacity and improve power output in athletes.

The following basic program has been designed for the person who is consuming three (3) healthy meals per day, or five (5) smaller healthy meals per day. This program is not designed to be used as the sole source of nutrition and outlines guidelines for product use.

Important points
1. Your body should be in a state of carbohydrate depletion from a low carbohydrate dinner the previous event, so fats become the primary source of energy. MUSASHI 
    Mega Fat Metaboliser and Carnitine prior to morning exercise allow for more efficient use of these fats.

2. If exercising in the afternoon or evening, take 2 capsules of MUSASHI Carnitine 20 minutes prior to commencing exercise.

Handy tips

  • Half milk / half water SLM shakes taste great.
  • Limit carbohydrate intake after 3pm (e.g. pasta, rice, potatoes and bread).
  • Do cardio exercise upon rising when your body is depleted of carbohydrates (see point no. 1) as this allows for the use of fats as a primary energy source.
  • Eat 5 smaller meals (including 2 SLM shakes) to keep metabolism ticking over.
  • Always take Mega Fat Metaboliser and Carnitine doses on an empty stomach.
